15-year-old female youth charged in assault at Surrey’s Spring Carnival

SURREY RCMP said on Tuesday that a 15-year-old female youth has been charged after an assault at the Spring Carnival on the weekend in Surrey.

On Saturday, March 16 at approximately 9:32 p.m., police responded to the north parking lot of Guildford Town Center to assist Surrey Fire Service. While on scene, officers observed an assault allegedly occurring and quickly intervened. One female suspect was arrested for assault and one female victim was transported to hospital for medical treatment.

On March 17, the 15-year-old youth who was arrested, was charged with aggravated assault and assault causing bodily harm. She has been remanded until her next court appearance.

Surrey General Investigation Unit has conduct of this investigation and as the matter is now before the court, there will be no further details provided, police said.
