As a result of this agreement, Kirloskar Technologies will be the sole distributor of Novadaq’s Canadian-developed fluorescence-imaging technologies in India. This technology will allow surgeons and diagnostic physicians to undertake reconstructive, cardiovascular, colorectal, gynecological, cancer and vascular disease procedures with fewer post-operative complications and lower hospital costs, and without exposing patients to radiation.
Minister Fast participated at the Novadaq Technologies-Kirloskar Technologies signing ceremony during his six-day, three-city trade mission to India. India is a growing and sophisticated market in which state-of-the art medical technologies are required. This is Minister Fast’s third trade mission to India in support of Canada’s ambitious pro-trade plan to help Canadian businesses explore new export opportunities.
India is a priority market under Canada’s Global Markets Action Plan (GMAP), the blueprint for creating jobs and opportunities for Canadians through trade. Life sciences is a priority sector under GMAP, with exports totalling $7.7 billion in 2013.-
