Bomb threat at West Vancouver’s Sentinel Secondary School was a hoax

WEST Vancouver Police have confirmed that the bomb threat at Sentinel Secondary School was a hoax.

“The investigation into the source of the threat is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact us or call Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous,” police tweeted just after 2 p.m. on Monday.

West Vancouver Police called in the Transit Police K9 Unit to assist in their investigation following the bomb threat. They were alerted by school staff shortly after 9 a.m. of a bomb threat that had been made over the phone. The school was evacuated.

Emergency crews from West Vancouver Fire Department and B.C. Ambulance stood by as police officers investigated.
