BUNABY RCMP is asking the public to avoid Highway 1 westbound at Kensington Avenue while police deal with a serious collision.
Highway 1 is closed westbound between Kensington Avenue and Sprott Street. Traffic is being directed off Highway 1 at Kensington Avenue and back onto Highway 1 via Sprott Street.
Additionally, Highway 1 westbound on ramp from Kensington is also closed. You cannot access Highway 1 westbound from Kensington Avenue.
The closure will be in effect for the next three to four hours, and potentially into the afternoon.
Police are asking drivers to utilize an alternate route if possible.
