ZERO Signature Inc., a veteran owned company, and the Dunnville District Hunters and Anglers Club, are helping bring together members of law enforcement, military, veteran, and competitive shooting communities this September to honour three fallen police officers and raise money for their families.
The Weight of Duty Memorial Match, that takes place September 18-20 at the Dunnville District Hunters and Anglers Club, will support the families of Provincial Constable Tarun Bali, Constable Marc Pinizzotto, and Constable Mohamed Lamine Benredouane.
“Those who serve understand there is a possibility they may not come home, but it’s their families who are left to live with that reality,” said Cameron Lilly, veteran and founder of Zero Signature Inc. “We wanted to create a way for people to come together and support them in a meaningful way. Doing something for the families left behind is part of honouring the people who choose to serve.”
All funds raised will go directly to the three families. Wounded Warriors Canada is helping manage donations and distribute the funds through its Surviving Family Program.
“It’s been incredible to see how many people and organizations have stepped up to support the event,” said Derek Cecca, Dunnville District Hunters and Anglers Club. “There are a lot of ways to support the families, whether that’s competing, donating, volunteering, attending or simply helping spread the word.”
Supporters can take part by registering to compete, donating, purchasing raffle tickets, attending the event or helping spread the word.
