IHIT deployed to Sunshine Coast following suspicious death of Henry Doyle, 58, of Vancouver

ON September 23, the Sunshine Coast RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious death, after a 58-year-old man was located with serious injuries on Klein Lake Forest Service Road in Egmont.

First responders arrived on scene and provided emergency first aid, but the victim succumbed to his injuries.

In consultation with the BC Coroners Service, the man’s death was determined to be suspicious in nature. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) took conduct of the investigation and continues to work closely in partnership with the Sunshine Coast RCMP, BC Coroners Service and the Integrated Forensic Identification Section (IFIS).

DOYLE was the President and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Dental Industry Association of Canada (DIAC).

The Board of Directors and Management Team of DIAC said they were shocked and saddened by his sudden death.

In a post on their website, they said: “Henry has led DIAC with passion and integrity during his tenure as President and was a respected figure in our industry as a whole. The Canadian dental industry is a business sphere, but also a community, and we grieve together the senseless and shocking loss of this valued member of our community.

“Henry’s companies, including Heaps & Doyle, are longtime members of the Association and he committed countless hours of his time to our board and committees over the years. We will always be grateful to him for his service to our organization, and, by extension, to our industry.

“Henry’s death is a great loss to all who knew and loved him. We offer our deepest sympathies to Henry’s family and friends, and to his peers and colleagues in the Canadian Dental Industry. Henry will be truly missed.”
