THE Muslim Food Bank and Community Services hosted its Pre-Ramadan Fundraising Dinner on Saturday, February 14, in Surrey.

The evening brought community members together in a spirit of generosity, reflection, and shared purpose as they prepared for the blessed month of Ramadan. The event aimed to raise critical funds to help feed families in need, empower individuals through self-reliance programs, and strengthen the organization’s work across Canada.

MLA for Surrey City Centre, Amna Shah, attended alongside community leaders in support of the initiative. In her remarks, Shah highlighted the importance of community, service, and giving during this meaningful time of year, and commended the Muslim Food Bank for its impactful work supporting local families.

In preparation for Ramadan, the organization has enhanced its support services for registered families, offering expanded food distribution, tailored Ramadan hampers, and additional opportunities for community members to contribute through donations and volunteerism. The evening underscored the strength of community partnerships and the shared commitment to ensuring that no family goes without during the holy month.
