ONTARIO: Ramanpreet Singh and Harmandeep Singh arrested and charged in Mississauga carjacking

ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau have arrested and charged two men for a carjacking that occurred in the City of Mississauga.

On Friday, May 21, at approximately 2:23 p.m., the victim was seated in her vehicle in the area of Pacific Gate and Tomken Road when she was allegedly approached by two men who forced open the vehicle door, dragged her from the vehicle, throwing her on the ground, and continued to assault her. The two men then got into her SUV and fled the area.

The 59-year-old woman from Mississauga was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Central Robbery Bureau, with the assistance of the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau, were able to quickly locate the stolen vehicle with the involved parties in the area of Hurontario Street and Eglinton Avenue.

Ramanpreet Singh, 22, of Brampton, was charged with one count of robbery and wear disguise with intent. He was also charged with kidnapping on April 10, 2021.

Harmandeep Singh, 29, of Mississauga, was charged with robbery, wear disguise with intent, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Both were held pending a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on May 22.
