RICHMOND RCMP said on Thursday night that they attended the Richmond Public Library for an emergency call and the matter was resolved peacefully. At no time was there a risk to the general public, they added.

The RCMP said that several online posts related to the police attendance are spreading misinformation and are false. These posts are not based on facts and should be ignored, they asserted.

Police said no further information related to the incident would be provided on Thursday night.
