On June 1, border services officers (BSO) referred a truck driven by a 57-year-old male, for a secondary examination. While conducting the search, officers discovered a package in a side compartment of the truck.
An examination of the package resulted in the discovery of 43 bricks of suspected cocaine with a combined total weight of approximately 44.7 kg. The BSO seized the suspected cocaine, arrested the individual and contacted the Royal Canadian Mounted Police who took custody of the drugs and the individual.
