SIX members of the Sikh Motorcycle Club Canada from Vancouver – Jasmeetpal Singh, Jantta Dhaliwal, Azadinder Singh Sidhu, Parvjit Singh Takhar, Sukhvir Singh Mlait and Jatinder Singh Chohan – plan to ride their bikes from the UK to the Golden Temple in Amritsar, India, in celebration of Guru Nanak’s 550th Birth Anniversary.
The club’s aim is to raise awareness of Guru Nanak’s birthday and the work of Khalsa Aid International as well as to raise funds which will be used to serve humanity and the most vulnerable people around the world through the Khalsa Aid International projects.
The World Tour 2019 will take 45 days. The six bikers will fly to England from Surrey and then ride all the way to Amritsar.
Guru Nanak walked through many of the areas that they will be riding through. They will stop at many gurdwaras along the way.
Each rider is taking care of all their own expenses and none of the money raised will go to them. All the funds will be used for Khalsa Aid International projects.
