Targeted homicide of woman in South Vancouver

VANCOUVER Police are investigating the homicide of a 49-year-old woman on Wednesday morning.

VPD officers were called just after 6 a.m. when a resident found a deceased woman near Rosemont Drive and East 57th Avenue.

Based on the initial investigation, detectives believe this was a targeted incident.

No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.

One news report said that police were taking photographs inside and around a black Acura sedan next to which was a body covered by a blanket.
