ON Saturday, at approximately 11:03 a.m., Richmond RCMP were called to the 7000-block of Ackroyd Road after a report of shots fired was received. Frontline officers located two deceased victims, both having suffered gunshot wounds.

Based on the investigative theory in this initial phase, this does not appear to be a random act, police said.

The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time.  The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in and will be working in partnership with Richmond RCMP.
