METRO Vancouver Regional District has ended the air quality warning for the Eastern Fraser Valley — Chilliwack, Agassiz and Hope — that was issued on Monday, July 6 due to fine particulate matter.
Air quality has improved due to onshore flow of cleaner air. Fine particulate matter concentrations dropped significantly through Monday evening and overnight.
Metro Vancouver works in cooperation with Environment and Climate Change Canada, Fraser Valley Regional District, and BC Ministry of Environment and Parks to look after air quality.
Information about real-time air quality readings for Metro Vancouver and Fraser Valley communities and potential health impacts can be found at airmap.ca or gov.bc.ca/airqualitymap.
