Aldergrove tractor-trailer driver Amninder Singh Sran charged for fatal collision with motorcyclist

A man has been charged one year after the tractor-trailer he was allegedly driving collided with a motorcyclist and killed its rider north of Quesnel, the BC Highway Patrol announced on Thursday.

On July 24, 2025, a Kenworth tractor-trailer collided with a Harley Davidson motorcycle on Highway 97 near Naver Creek Road. The collision killed a 42-year-old Chemainus man who was riding the Harley Davidson.

BC Highway Patrol investigated the crash and forwarded the results to the BC Prosecution Service. On July 21, 2026, the following charges were approved against Amninder Singh Sran:

  • Dangerous operation of a conveyance causing death
  • Impaired operation of a conveyance causing death
  • Operation of a conveyance with a blood alcohol content over 80 mg/mL causing death

Sran has been served with a summons to appear in Quesnel Provincial Court on August 18.
