VANCOUVER Police are investigating after a video circulating on social media showed two men yelling at staff and customers at a downtown fast-food restaurant, claiming to have guns and be part of a gang.
Last week on Friday night, police received a report that the two men entered the restaurant near Nelson and Howe streets, yelled at staff, and damaged property inside the business. The men left before officers arrived.
“We understand there is significant public interest in this incident. It is disturbing and unacceptable, not just to police, but to the staff and patrons of the restaurant,” said Inspector Erin Roulston. “Investigators are reviewing all available evidence, including CCTV footage, to determine what occurred and if criminal charges are appropriate.”
The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or can identify the individuals involved to contact the Vancouver Police Department at 604-717-3321.
