THE New Westminster Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance following a report of road rage.

On Wednesday, September 2, New Westminster Police received a call from a motorist who advised someone had exited their vehicle and brandished a weapon at her. The driver shared that this occurred near 6th Avenue and Eighth Street at approximately 4:15 p.m.

The suspect is described as a White male in his forties, with a slim build, moustache, and balding hair. The suspect was driving a red Dodge Ram.

“Brandishing weapons in traffic is not acceptable,” said Sgt. Andrew Leaver. “We’re now asking the public to help us in our investigation by passing along any relevant dash-cam footage.”
