DELTA Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred on 64 Avenue near the Highway 91 on-ramp. On Sunday, September 6, at approximately 4:33 a.m., Delta Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 10600-block of 64 Avenue.

A victim was located at scene with a minor, non-life-threatening injury and was subsequently transported to hospital in stable condition. A suspect vehicle was identified as a grey Kia Forte which fled the area prior to police arrival.

Police believe this is an isolated incident with no ongoing risk to the public. Police say they are actively investigating this incident and currently the 10600-block of 64 Avenue is closed in all directions.
