THE candidate nomination period for the Abbotsford-Mission provincial by-election closed at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Elections BC said.

There are five candidates representing five registered political parties:  

• * Pam Alexis (BC NDP) 
• * Kerry-Lynne Findlay (Conservative Party)
• * Stephen Fowler (BC Green Party) 
• * Lakhwinder Jhaj (CentreBC) 
• * Jeff Monds (Libertarian)
