ADVANCE voting for the Langford-Juan de Fuca and Vancouver-Mount Pleasant by-elections starts this Friday (June 16). Advance voting places will be open June 16 to 21. Election Day is June 24.
Individuals are eligible to vote in the Langford-Juan de Fuca or Vancouver-Mount Pleasant by-election if they are:
- a Canadian citizen,
- 18 or older on June 24, 2023,
- a resident of the Langford-Juan de Fuca or Vancouver-Mount Pleasant electoral district, and
- a resident of British Columbia since December 23, 2022.
Advance voting is an option for all eligible voters. Not all advance voting locations are open on every day of the advance voting period. Voters can find voting places and the dates they are open at the links below:

Online and phone registration has closed, but eligible voters can still register or update their voter information when they vote.
This week Elections BC is sending a Where to Vote card to every registered voter in Langford-Juan de Fuca and Vancouver-Mount Pleasant. The card shows advance voting places and the voter’s assigned voting place for Election Day. Voters should bring the card with them when they vote to help make voting faster and easier.
Preliminary turnout figures from advance voting will be available on Elections BC’s website during the advance voting period.
