BC Liberal Multiculturalism ​Critic Teresa Wat, MLA for Richmond North Centre, on Monday honoured Muslim British Columbians as they prepare to celebrate Eid-al-Fitr, an important time in the Islamic calendar where families gather to celebrate the end of the month-long fast of Ramadan.

Highlighting the incredible work and support from mosques and Muslim communities throughout the fires, floods, and ongoing waves of the pandemic, Wat outlined how Muslim British Columbians have exemplified the spirit of hard work, selflessness, and community that we pride ourselves in as Canadians. She concluded by wishing all Muslims and British Columbians who observe Ramadan a very happy Eid-al-Fitr.
