BC United said on Friday that it has fundraised nearly $850,000 in the first quarter of 2024, to kick-off the election year. This represents a 35% increase from last year’s first quarter report of $630,000. It added that this puts it in a strong fiscal position as they approach the scheduled October 2024 provincial election.
“BC United is pleased to announce a record Q1 fundraising result following our record breaking 2023 fundraising year. Our ability to attract top-quality candidates coupled with record public engagement through our town halls demonstrates the unparalleled desire throughout the province for a credible alternative to the NDP,” said BC United Leader Kevin Falcon.
“The public is clamouring for a political alternative that has a track record of proven results and the maturity and experience to run government on day one. BC United’s Q1 fundraising was up 35% over last year’s comparable period and demonstrates continued growing support for our vision.”
As BC United comes off a record-breaking fundraising year in 2023 where they raised $3 million, and a record-breaking Q4 in 2023 where they raised $1.2 million, the party says it is clear that British Columbians are ready for change and see it as the only party that will fix it.
