A 28-year-old man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter for an April 2022 shooting in Surrey that left one man dead.
On April 6, 2022, at around 1:30 a.m., the Surrey RCMP responded to shots fired at a home near 24 Avenue and 152A Street. First responders found 33-year-old David Goldstein with critical injuries. Goldstein was transported to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) was called in to investigate.
Following a lengthy and extensive investigation, on November 7, 2023, the BC Prosecution Service approved one count of first-degree murder against Bryce Dallas Campbell for the homicide of Goldstein.
On October 9, 2025, Campbell appeared in the Supreme Court of BC in New Westminster where he pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
“Securing this conviction against Mr. Campbell was made possible by the specialized resources at IHIT, the persistence shown by the investigators, and our ability to work with our partner agencies,” said Sgt. Freda Fong of IHIT on Thursday.
“It is our hope that today’s proceedings will help the victim’s family in their healing journey. We are grateful for their trust and support throughout this investigation.”
