Burnaby RCMP seek dash cam video, witnesses of motorcycle collision

BURNABY RCMP are seeking dash cam video and additional witnesses after a collision last week that has left a motorcyclist in the hospital with serious injuries.

On Wednesday, June 19 just before 6:15 a.m., frontline officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle at Boundary Road and Frances Street.

It was reported that the motorcycle was travelling northbound on Boundary Road when it struck the side of a pick-up truck driving westbound on Frances Street. The driver of the truck remained on scene.

The motorcyclist remains in the hospital with serious injuries.

“Our investigators have spoken to many witnesses, but we believe there may be video of this collision,” said Cpl. Mike Kalanj with Burnaby RCMP. “If you have dash cam or any type of video of this collision, please contact the Burnaby RCMP.”

Police are requesting anyone that witnessed this incident or anyone with any type of video in the area of Boundary Road and Frances Street between 5:45 a.m. and 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19 to contact Traffic Services at 604-646-9999 and quote file 2024-20357.
