BACK in July 2023, a newspaper in Punjab reported that Gurvinder Nath’s mother committed suicide when she was finally told about her son’s death.

Both the mother and son were to be cremated in their Karimpur Chahwala village in the Balachaur area of Nawanshahr district in Punjab.

Nath’s mother, Narinder Kaur, was reportedly informed about the tragedy just before the arrival of his body in their Punjab village. The stunned mother reportedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance even before seeing her son’s body.
