CANADIAN Eyesight Global, sponsored by Rotary Club of Surrey-Guildford and Rotary Club of Burnaby, held a successful free eye health clinic on Sunday, December 14 at the Khalsa Diwan Society, Vancouver, with more than 110 men, women and children being screened. Patients were provided with free eye drops.
A team of Dr. David R.S. Neima, Warren Whitford and Dr. Bassra participated along with a number of dedicated volunteers such as Amarjit Sidhu, Vicky Thind, Kulwant Sekhon, Gurmel Dhaliwal, Dr. Parmjit Sohal, Tanveer Sohal and Saroop K. Jubbal.
Anup Singh Jubbal, President of Canadian Eyesight Global, thanked all the doctors and volunteers, including those of the Khalsa Diwan Society.
Canadian Eyesight Global received an annual donation thanksgiving cheque of $15,200 from CENOVUS Energy, Cenovus Employee Foundation, Calgary, Alberta, for restoration of eyesight and prevention of preventable blindness program in rural parts of India.
