THE nomination period for the 2025 Vancouver municipal by-election closed On Friday at 4 p.m. and 13 candidates are currently in the running for two City Councillor seats.
The following candidates have submitted their nomination papers and are listed in alphabetical order by last name:

- Guy Dubé
- Colleen Hardwick
- Ralph Kaisers
- Charles Ling
- Karin Litzcke
- Lucy Maloney
- Gerry McGuire
- Sean Orr
- Annette Reilly
- Rollergirl
- Jaime Stein
The list of candidates is subject to change until March 7 at 4 p.m. following the deadline for candidate nomination challenges, candidate withdrawals and withdrawal of candidate endorsements by elector organizations.
The ballot order for the by-election will be determined by a random draw on March 7 at 5 p.m. in the Council Chamber at Vancouver City Hall. Candidates, their agents, and media are welcome to attend in person or watch live at the following link: Random ballot draw livestream.
Eligible Vancouver voters can cast their ballots in three ways:
- Vote on Saturday, April 5 at 25 voting locations across the city.
- Vote in advance on March 26 or April 1 at Vancouver City Hall.
- Vote by mail. Request your package starting March 3 at vancouver.ca/vote.
