ON Thursday, April 3 at 3:56 a.m., Delta Police attended a fully engulfed house fire in the 11500-block of 84A Avenue in North Delta.  Officers learned that all occupants of the house were accounted for and uninjured. Delta Police supported the Delta Fire Department, who were on scene to extinguish the fire.

The fire investigation has determined that the cause of the fire is not suspicious.

Delta Police said they were aware of speculation on social media suggesting the fire was related to an illegal drug laboratory.  “There is no evidence or suspicion of a drug lab being present at this residence or involved in this accidental fire,” police added.

As there is no criminality involved in this fire, Delta Police said they would provide no further comment.
