IN support of the City of Delta’s Home Suite Home program, newly created Secondary Suite Ambassadors are available to guide homeowners through a streamlined building permit application process. This innovative new program is designed to encourage homeowners with existing secondary suites to bring their properties into compliance with the BC Building Code, opening up more much-needed housing for individuals and families in Delta.

Throughout the summer, Secondary Suite Ambassadors will be on site at Delta’s recreation centres to answer questions from residents about the Home Suite Home program and can initiate the building permit application process for homeowners. Earlier this year, Council approved waiving building permit fees for new suites under this program for a limited time, so owners that initiate their applications this summer can do so without any fee.

The ambassadors will be available to assist in-person from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following dates:

* Ladner Leisure Centre: July 3, July 24, August 7, August 21

* Sungod Recreation Centre: July 4, July 25, August 8, August 22

* North Delta Recreation Centre: July 16, July 30, August 12, August 26

* South Delta Recreation Centre: July 17, July 31, August 14, August 28
