FOUR men are in serious condition after an early morning shooting in White Rock.

On Thursday at approximately 12:25 a.m., White Rock RCMP responded to multiple reports of shots fired and a vehicle collision in the area of Roper Avenue and Lee Street. Police located four men suffering serious injuries who were given immediate medical intervention by responding officers. All four men were taken to local area hospitals.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene and a vehicle fire was reported in Surrey shortly after. However, the investigation to determine whether the two events are linked is ongoing.

The video of the shooting posted on X by @6ixAdemiks shows the victims’ vehicle backing into what looks to be a driveway where another vehicle is parked. Just then three men run towards the driveway. One of them runs directly towards the victims’ vehicle with his gun blazing away, while another stands further away at one side taking shots at the vehicle. A third person runs behind a hedge. Meanwhile, the occupants of the other vehicle scramble out and run behind the hedge. The victims’ vehicle speeds out of the driveway and crashes into some foliage on the other side of the road. All the while one can hear relentless firing as the attackers run after it.

White Rock RCMP is being supported by Lower Mainland District Integrated Police Dog Services and Integrated Forensic Identification Services, as well as the Surrey RCMP and the Surrey Police Service to advance the investigation.

“This incident appears to be targeted and there is no ongoing risk to public safety in the area at this time,” said Constable Chantal Sears of White Rock RCMP. “The investigation is in the early stages and our General Investigations Unit has been engaged.”

The 15600-block of Rover Avenue is shut down in all directions, so motorists are asked to find an alternate route. Police are on scene conducting the investigation but also in the area to assist students with getting to school safely.
