Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation’s inaugural cricket tournament

FRASER Valley Health Care Foundation’s inaugural cricket tournament was a fun weekend for all who participated.

A big shout out to all the teams that traveled to Chilliwack to play in the tournament September 11 and 12. Teams traveled to play from Abbotsford, Langley and Surrey with hopes of winning the big prize.  The final game between Langley Titans and the Surrey Stallions was a great match to watch with the Titans taking 1st place.

Both teams generously donated their winning proceeds back to Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation. If you would like to make a donation, please visit our website at www.fvhcf.ca/donate

“The Abby Lions represented Abbotsford in the Champions Cricket Open 2021 in Edmonton, Alberta, which had a prize pool of $50,000, in which we were first semi-finalists out of 16 teams that participated” said Amandeep Dhindsa.  “We would like to host a tournament of this magnitude in our hometown of Abbotsford next summer. We have amazing young talent in Abbotsford who have potential to represent our city on the Canadian national team someday.”

Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation thanked all the teams and spectators for a great weekend and look forward to hosting the 2nd Annual Cricket Tournament in 2022.
