VANCOUVER Police are investigating the city’s 17th homicide of 2017 after a woman’s death in Vancouver’s West End this afternoon. No arrests have been made, but investigators do not believe this was a random incident.
Police were called by paramedics to an apartment in the area of Jervis and Harwood Street just before 4 p.m. on Friday (October 13). Officers located a dead woman, along with other uninjured people in the apartment. They are being considered witnesses at this stage of the investigation, and it appears the suspect fled prior to the arrival of emergency services.
Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation and police will remain in the area collecting evidence.
Anyone who may have information about this incident is asked to call police.
