INDIAN nationals, people of Indian origin and friends of India participated in the Indian Independence Day celebrations on Friday (August 15) at the Consulate General of India downtown Vancouver.
CONSUL General Ravi Shankar Aisola in a message said:
“I extend my warm felicitations to the Indian diaspora in Western Canada on the occasion of 68th Independence Day of India. India is an ancient civilization but a young nation. Several generations of Indians have fought for and made supreme sacrifice of their lives for achieving Independence.
