Man with gunshot wound found in Langley’s Willoughby area

LANGLEY RCMP say they are currently on scene in the Willoughby area of Langley for a report of man with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.

At approximately 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, Langley RCMP responded to a report from British Columbia Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) of a man on the side of the road with injuries consistent with those of a gunshot.

Frontline officers responded to 20400-block of 68 Avenue and located BCEHS with the man. The man was conscious and breathing. He was transported to a hospital by BCEHS with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

Police say that initial investigation has revealed that the man may have been shot at another location. They are working to determine the location and possible motive for the shooting.

Officers are in the area conducting neighborhood canvassing and speaking with witnesses to obtain further information.

Currently, 68 Avenue from 204 to 205 streets is closed. It will remain closed for the next two to three hours.

Anyone with more information, including dash cam footage around the area of 68 Avenue between 204 and 208 streets between 6 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., is asked to contact the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and quote file 2024-13283.
