KHALISTAN advocate Inderjeet Singh Gosal, 36, of Caledon has been charged with a dozen firearms-related offences following a traffic stop on Highway 407 near Harmony Road by Ontario Provincial Police officers in Oshawa on Friday, September 19 around 6 p.m., according to media reports.
Gosal, Jagdeep Singh, 41, of Pickville, New York, and Arman Singh, 23, of Toronto, were arrested, the OPP said in a statement released Wednesday.
The three accused are each charged with careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a weapon, possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, breach of firearms regulation (transport firearm or restricted weapon), occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm, and possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime, the Toronto Sun reported.
The OPP said: “This incident is part of an ongoing investigation. As a result, no further information will be released at this time.”
Gosal appeared in court in Oshawa on Monday, September 21, according to Global News.
IN February 2024, The VOICE reported: “The Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) said in a press release that in the early hours of Monday, February 12, shots were fired at a Brampton house under construction that belongs to Inderjeet Singh Gosal, a close associate of Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, SFJ general counsel. The SFJ said that Gosal oversees the construction on a daily basis.
“It noted that “the shooting comes days after Gosal announced the Khalistan Freedom Rally at the Indian Consulate [in] Toronto on 17th February to commemorate the 8th month of [Khalistan advocate Hardeep Singh] Nijjar’s assassination and to support the Trudeau Government in the ongoing standoff with India on this issue.”
“Nijjar was assassinated on June 18, 2023, outside Surrey’s Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara where he was president, in a well-planned brazen ambush.”
“The SFJ claimed that within hours of the shooting in Brampton, a verified Indian account at X stated: “This was not a miss but a message to Pannun handlers.”
“The SFJ said that “Gosal has been closely working with Pannun and the SFJ on the Khalistan Referendum and was instrumental in organizing the Khalistan Referendum voting in Surrey in September 2023 after the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar who was chief coordinator of Referendum in Canada.””
