Man charged with three offences after alleged drug lab discovered following structure fire

AT approximately 2:04 p.m. on July 17, Richmond RCMP responded to the 5000-block of Calder Court to assist Richmond Fire.  Richmond Fire were on scene for a structure fire and subsequently located an alleged drug lab inside the residence.

Richmond RCMP Drug Target Team obtained a search warrant and executed it with the assistance of the E Division Clandestine Lab Enforcement and Response (CLEAR) Team. Evidence, consistent with an alleged cannabis drug extraction lab, were located and seized from the residence.

The subsequent investigation has resulted in three charges being laid against Tieng Wei Tsao. He has been charged with possession for the purpose of selling, altering cannabis by use of an organic solvent, and possession for the purpose of distribution.
