Man stabbed in Surrey’s Guildford after confrontation on bus

SURREY RCMP are investigating a report of a stabbing near the intersection of Fraser Highway and 152 Street in Guildford.

On Saturday, April 16 at approximately 2:40 p.m., police received a report of one male who had been stabbed near the intersection. Officers located a male in his 20s with a stab wound to the abdomen. The individual was transported to a local area hospital where he is currently in stable condition and receiving care.

Initial investigation reveals that two individuals had a confrontation on a transit bus and when they exited, one individual produced a knife and stabbed the victim. The subject is described as a white male in his 20s with a muscular build.

The investigation is still in the early stages, but initial indications are that the two individuals are not known to each other.
