Mississauga, ON – Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada sold 1,933 vehicles last month, the company’s second-best April retail result. Mitsubishi’s subcompact Mirage hatchback broke through with its best performance of the year at 488 sales while perennial top sellers Mitsubishi Lancer took the overall monthly sales crown with 543 deliveries. Close behind was Mitsubishi RVR compact crossover at 463 sales while Outlander compact sport utility was delivered to 415 customers. With 24 sales, Mitsubishi’s all-electric i-MiEV hatchback saw its second best retail month ever.

April’s sales tally represented a 14 per cent decrease versus last year although the company’s vice president, Sales and Marketing, Tony Laframboise, points out it was the second best April from a purely retail standpoint.

“Thus far in 2015 Mitsubishi Motors is enjoying robust retail activity in Canada due to a strategic decision to delay fleet sales until this fall; we’re actually surpassing our retail numbers by six per cent on a year-to-date basis.”
