ON Sunday, September 24 at approximately 4:52 a.m., Richmond RCMP attended the area of Cooney Road and Anderson Road for reports of shots fired. Police located a victim in medical distress. Despite all attempts to revive the individual, they succumbed to their injuries.

Police said that the area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off until further notice. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in and will be working in partnership with the Richmond RCMP.

Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase.
