Pedestrian struck by train in Port Moody

PORT Moody Police responded on Saturday morning to a report of a pedestrian struck by a train.

On April 20 at approximately 10 a.m., first responders were called to the train tracks near Klahanie Drive and Murray Street for a report of a man who had been struck by a reversing train while walking along the railway.

The pedestrian – a man in his 30s – suffered what appear to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by paramedics. It is believed this incident was accidental in nature. CPKC (Canadian Pacific Kansas City Ltd.) police have now assumed conduct of the investigation.
