DELTA Police said on Friday that the house fire on Thursday was an act of arson.
On Thursday, April 3 at 3:56 a.m., Delta Police attended a fully engulfed house fire in the 11500-block of 84A Avenue in North Delta. Officers learned that all occupants of the house were accounted for and uninjured. Delta Police supported the Delta Fire Department, who were on scene to extinguish the fire.
Delta Police later issued a news release stating the fire was not suspicious. However, after the discovery of new evidence, police now say that it has been determined that the fire is, in fact, an act of arson and is under investigation.
