THE BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) announced on Friday that charges have been approved against Richmond RCMP Constable Beyond Xi, following an incident that occurred in Richmond on July 7, 2025.

The incident was investigated by the Independent Investigations Office (IIO) and referred to the BCPS for charge assessment. An information charging Beyond Xi with two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm was sworn on July 3 in Richmond Provincial Court.

The first appearance on this matter is scheduled for August 4. The charges were approved by an experienced Crown Counsel who has no connection with the accused.

As these matters are now before the court, the BCPS said it will not be releasing any additional information or commenting further at this time.
