A Vancouver Police investigation has led to multiple charges being laid against a 29-year-old serial robbery suspect.

Twelve Vancouver businesses in the downtown core and East Vancouver were robbed between June and December 2023, triggering an extensive investigation by VPD’s Major Crime Section.

“Our detectives worked for months to collect and analyze evidence, which linked the cases to a single suspect,” said Constable Tania Visintin on Friday. “With that important evidence, we were able to make an arrest and obtain criminal charges.”

Jason Crawley was arrested on December 22, 2023.

BC Prosecution Services has approved 12 counts of robbery and he has since been released by the courts.
