SQUAMISH RCMP say that on Sunday just after 3:30 p.m., they were called out to a serious three-vehicle collision involving several injured individuals on Highway 99 just north of Britannia Beach.
BC Highway Patrol (BCHP), Squamish RCMP and BC Emergency Health Services (BC EHS) attended. The injured individuals were transported to Lower Mainland hospitals for various injuries. The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) was called out to assist with the investigation.
At approximately 9 p.m., tow trucks were still at scene helping to clear the highway. The RCMP said they continue to investigate and ensure the highway is safe for re-opening and expected it to be open in approximately an hour. People were asked to check Drive BC for re-opening details.
