SHAKTI Society on Wednesday announced the recipients of the 2015 Shakti Awards. The women were nominated by their peers, family and friends. They have been active in the community and are role models in their category, consistently demonstrating the spirit of Shakti.

The 13th Annual Shakti Awards will be held on Friday, April 10 at the Aria Banquet Hall at 12350 Pattullo Place, Surrey. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

The evening will be hosted by media personality, CKNW talk show host Maureen McGrath.
