ON the evening of Friday, May 31, three mountaineers were reported as overdue after not returning from climbing in Garibaldi Park, near Squamish. Squamish RCMP along with Squamish Search and Rescue have been attempting to locate them. However, the search has been hampered by inclement weather conditions.

In addition to the inclement weather, there are extreme avalanche conditions which rescue crews are trying to also navigate, police say.

RCMP and Search and Rescue personnel are continuing efforts to locate the missing climbers.
