Surrey Food Bank celebrates success of 1st Annual Fundraising Dinner and Dance Event

THE Surrey Food Bank extends its heartfelt gratitude to Kamilla Singh, Fiji in Focus, Bula Beats TV, and Angel Music Productions for their outstanding efforts in organizing the 1st Annual Fundraising Dinner and Dance event in support of the Surrey Food Bank.

Held on Saturday, April 13 at the Taj Park Convention Centre in Surrey, this event was a tremendous success, raising over $8,000 to benefit individuals and families facing food insecurity in our community.

Kamilla Singh, a prominent figure in the community, is known for her role as the producer of Asian Pulse Television. Additionally, she serves as a counselor for PICS (Progressive Intercultural Community Services), demonstrating her dedication to supporting and uplifting others.

Fiji in Focus and Bula Beats TV played a pivotal role in organising and promoting the event.

Angel Music Productions provided the entertainment for the evening, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration. Guests enjoyed an evening filled with vibrant music, delicious food, and lively dancing, all in support of a worthy cause.

The Surrey Food Bank is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing food assistance to individuals and families in need within the Surrey community. Through various programs and initiatives, the Surrey Food Bank strives to alleviate hunger and promote food security for all residents.

For over 40 years, the organization has pursued its mission as a charitable beacon of hope for many, assisting monthly over 15,000 individuals on average. It’s important to mention that over 40% of which are children under 19 years old. The Surrey Food Bank operates because of monetary donations and food. These donations come from individuals, organizations, and corporations all over Canada.
