OFFICERS with the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia’s Uniform Gang Enforcement Team (UGET) were conducting proactive enforcement in Langley on November 25, 2025, when they observed a vehicle travelling at a speed significantly above the posted limit. Officers conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver.
The driver refused to exit the vehicle and was informed they were under arrest for obstruction of a peace officer. The driver failed to remain at the scene.
On December 19, 2025, a warrant was issued in relation to the incident.
Ron Aldred Madlangbayan, 46, of Surrey has been charged with the following offences:
• Resisting or wilfully obstructing a peace officer in the execution of their duty
• Escaping from lawful custody
Madlangbayan was arrested later that day by UGET officers with the assistance of Langley RCMP on the outstanding warrant. He is expected to appear in court at a later date.
“Failing to stop for police puts officers, other motorists, and the public at significant risk,” said Sgt. Sarbjit K. Sangha, Media Relations Officer of CFSEU-BC. “These situations can escalate quickly and have serious consequences for everyone involved.”
