Taekwondo coach Shin Wook Lim faces charges in sexual exploitation investigation

TAEKWONDO coach Shin Wook Lim, 44, of Woodbridge, Ontario, who also operated training schools in B.C., faces 13 charges in ongoing sexual exploitation investigation in Toronto.

Toronto Police say it is alleged that between 2015 and 2017, in the Ossington Avenue and Bloor Street West area, Lim sexually assaulted a teenage girl who was his student.

Lin was arrested on Tuesday, May 1 at 4:10 p.m., and charged with six counts of sexual assault, five counts of sexual exploitation, invitation to sexual touching, and sexual interference.

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, June 13 at 11 a.m.

The BC RCMP announced on Friday that they are sharing the Toronto Police Service news release and Lim’s photo in an effort to identify any potential victims who may be residing in British Columbia.
