SURREY Police Service (SPS) is investigating early morning shots fired in a Surrey City Centre neighbourhood.
On Thursday, June 11 at approximately 6:07 a.m., SPS frontline officers responded to a report of gunshots outside a residence near 96 Avenue and 133A Street.
Police said they located damage caused by gunfire to the exterior of the residence. The residence was occupied at the time the shots were fired and fortunately, no one was injured.
The investigation is in its early stages and the motive for the shots fired is unknown, but it is believed to be targeted.
SPS’s Major Crime Section (MCS) has taken over the lead on the investigation, and the Integrated Forensic Identification Services (IFIS) will be in the area processing physical and digital evidence.
